Painting the town with residents in Indischebuurt #Groningen and the awesome BrugBouwer team! What a journey so far!
We’ve been negotiating with the council and contractors to identify productive arenas for participation where the residents here can start to meaningfully shape their neighbourhood. No more tokenistic participation that ends up being shelved with no action. We’re communicating with civil servants and contractors early in the process to establish and negotiate the parameters for change in the neighbourhood and then informing and supporting residents to work creatively within this space and championing their input through to installation.
